Prelude
|
The various ideals, concepts and nature of an
apocalypse and a study at what directions are available.

By researching the aspects to make up an apocalypse I
can get a much better informed interpretation of my own
|
Artist research
|
Research suitable artists that help to inspire the
concept, style, format and structure of the work. In particularly they should
be able to relate to the main theme.
|
The artists I am researching include April Taylor, Jock
McFadyen, Beksinski, Bosch, Goya, Peter Doig and Daniel Richter
|
Photographs
|
The paintings will draw on physical locations that
correspond to urban themes, ones that inspire feelings of isolation,
emptiness and dread are of particular interest.

These photos will provide the subject for interpreting
in my work, ones that conform to the criteria will be really helpful
|
Themes
|
Looking at the themes that can surround aspects of an
apocalypse and how this can inform my work.
|
By identifying themes in others work and media I can
explore different directions that will aid in development of a personal self
|
Composition
|
Utilizing the research prior to this a distinct style should
be developed for the work.
|
A distinct style and personal self should be developed
to make my project unique in itself

Digital art
|
Techniques involving digital manipulation of
photographs including that of photoshop and gimp can be explored in creating
surreal and apocalyptic environs.
|
Reviewing the digital manipulation aspects will be
beneficial in the development of my work.

insight and sources of inspiration came from.

This is a crucial aspect of the course that is will be
handed in at the end as well.
